This year, we saw a surge of interest in low-code/no-code solutions development — and for good reason. These platforms offer exceptional flexibility and allow non-technical users to quickly implement process automation in systems like CRM and ERP. This accelerates digital transformation, providing faster time to market and driving greater operational efficiency.
Our expertise in low-code/no-code development is quite extensive, and we stand ready to assist clients with such systems fine-tuning, integrations, and functionality expansion. Also, our company partners with the no-code CRM Creatio platform and has certified professionals on board, helping businesses implement and tweak the solution to establish their workflows.
The Case: Creatio-Based Healthcare Project for the Company Providing Human Services to Families and Individuals
The client wanted to digitize their workflows and make them more consistent and transparent. To do that, they needed a reliable CRM system and turned to us with the request to fine-tune CRM Creatio in accordance with their requirements. For this task, we combined two approaches: no-code and custom development to help the client with functionality expansion at reasonable costs.
The client had purchased CRM licenses for their in-house staff but also wanted to give patients access to the system. To address this, we proposed building a custom patient portal from the ground up and integrating it with the CRM. The client eagerly accepted the solution, as it allowed them to significantly reduce costs on additional licenses.
Generative AI & Machine Learning
In 2024, generative AI and machine learning emerged as ubiquitous forces, transforming industries at an unprecedented pace. Recognizing the immense strategic value these technologies offer, businesses accelerated their adoption to optimize workflows and gain a competitive edge.

To deliver impactful AI-powered systems, we continually hone our skills and grow expertise by learning new tools: for example, this year, our engineers mastered Azure AI. Also, the growing demand for AI-driven solutions has led to a steady increase in the number of projects we’ve undertaken, and we’ve strengthened our team with talented ML engineers, enhancing our capabilities in this evolving field.
The Case: Streaming and Function Calling Implementation for Barchart
Barchart provides data and analytics solutions to its clients and sought to enhance engagement using AI. Recognizing the value of a strategic and measured approach, they partnered with us to develop an intelligent assistant capable of handling user queries with speed and precision.
Velvetech’s team successfully delivered a POC of the assistant which is now being tested by the client. One standout feature implemented by our engineers is real-time streaming, allowing the assistant to interact with users in real time.
Another significant milestone was the integration of function calling — a feature we implemented just several weeks after OpenAI released it. This capability enables the assistant to interact with external systems, further elevating its ability to deliver personalized and effective support.

ETL/BI Expertise

This year, the list of mastered solutions was also replenished by Databricks, the tool renowned for its scalability, real-time data processing capabilities, and seamless integration with machine learning workflows.

A health insurance broker sought our expertise to tackle challenges in efficient data management, including data mapping, processing, and cleansing. The client handles vast amounts of data coming from multiple systems in varied formats, and this heterogeneity presents a significant challenge.
Given the complexity and scope of the project, it was crucial to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s objectives and requirements before diving into execution. To ensure a tailored and effective solution, we initiated the collaboration with a strategy definition phase.
At the moment, we are conducting a thorough discovery phase to analyze the existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and outline a roadmap for seamless data integration and management.

The Case: Legacy Modernization and Cloud Migration for Customs Bond Service Provider
The client’s legacy system ceased to satisfy their business needs and several months ago they turned to us to conduct its comprehensive revamping and migrate it to the cloud. The client approached Velvetech because they had a small development team and required a partner who could be easy to work with, actively interact with the in-house team in the development process, and offer domain expertise.
We provided them with a seamless partnership. Being fully aware that one-off migration would inevitably affect the company’s inner workflows, our team suggested a phased migration strategy. Therefore, at the moment they use both systems — the renovated one, which is now deployed in Azure, and the legacy one, until the entire application is fully transferred.

AI and ML Implementation for eLearning Solution
For over a decade, we’ve been enhancing a platform designed specifically for teachers to track their elementary students’ progress and analyze their performance. With the advent of AI and machine learning, we began integrating these advanced technologies into the solution. These updates have significantly reduced teachers’ workloads and empowered them to assess students’ progress from multiple perspectives.
One of our recent innovations is an automated email generation feature. Here’s how it works: the system analyzes a student’s performance data to pinpoint knowledge gaps, then drafts a detailed email for parents outlining the issues and suggesting targeted learning resources. This functionality not only saves teachers considerable time but also enables proactive engagement with families to address learning challenges early on.

2024 also brought us valuable networking opportunities, as we attended several impactful in-person events.
Velvetech has sponsored the Creatio-hosted two-day no-code conference in Florida. This annual event focused on how no-code solutions can drive workflow automation and empower businesses to innovate faster. It was an excellent opportunity to present our product Velvetel Pulse, an AI-driven contact center solution that seamlessly integrates with Creatio, share with and learn from industry leaders, explore cutting-edge tools, and exchange ideas on leveraging no-code technologies effectively.
The second event we participated in was an International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS). At this tradeshow, industry leaders shared their expertise and presented new solutions that would accelerate digital transformation of the manufacturing sector.
